Careers: Intern for ABA Program
Position Overview
An Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intern’s primary job responsibility is to implement curriculum programs & behavioral intervention for children to young adults with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities. The intern also assists in writing programs and reports, conducting skill assessments, data collection, graphing, planning and leading small group instruction, and adaptation of the education program to enable students to benefit from educational experiences. The ABA intern implements teaching methodologies based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis including discrete trial training, task analyses and works 1:1 with students. Other activities may include teaching job and life skills to students in the community and attending trainings regarding The Victory Center’s program.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution with courses taken in Applied Behavior Analysis, psychology, education, or related field.
- Coursework/training in behavior analysis
- Working towards BcaBA or BCBA
- Available at least 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day M-F
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prevention Crisis Management Certification
- First aid and CPR certification
- Currently enrolled in a master’s program in ABA
- BcaBA
- Flexibility in teaching area (multiple experiences)
- Experience teaching verbal behavior based on Skinner’s analysis

The programs and interventions utilize the evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and are provided in a 1:1 to 3:1 student/teacher ratio within a classroom setting.
