Our family has been very pleased with our experience at the Victory Center. It is truly one of the top institutions of its type in America, if not the world. Our son has been at the Victory Center (TVC) for three years and we could not be happier with his progress. Our son was diagnosed with PDD (pervasive developmental disorder) a form of autism, many years ago and we have struggled to provide him with the best education available. He has steadily improved at TVC, progressing from a pure vocational programme to a more academic curriculum.
The beauty of this is that it was his teacher that saw the potential in Johnathan and advocated for him to do more, be challenged more and try the academic program. The teachers and staff are first class, very professional, work very hard every day to keep the school funded and show that they truly care. When Johnathan has behavior, aggression and things are not going so well; the expressions of sadness on their faces tell us that they truly care about the students and the families and they know how hard it can be to raise children with developmental and/or behavioral challenges.
Another thing we like about TVC is that they have programs for adults which not many other institutions offer. We are delighted with our experience at TVC and we can relax because they have a programme for our son for the next several years, so we don’t have to worry about what programme we must put him in after he is 22 years old. It is very expensive to provide this level of care and the fees are what they must be, but we hope that their fundraising efforts are successful, because they are truly serving and blessing many families, giving us all hope that our children will be ok
